Labor and Birth Support

Labor and Birth support varies with each individual client and family. Labor usually unfolds best when interventions are kept to a minimum.
I trust in the capability of womens bodies and their abilities to give birth.
My job as your midwife is to give your my clinical expertise be that sharing knowledge, performing skills, or giving guidance and support, all the while remembering the individual needs of each family.
As a Midwife I believe that mothers birth their own babies, and my role as your midwifes is to assist you in this powerful process. When the time comes for your baby to be born, I may catch your baby or assist you and/or your partner in catching your baby.
After your birth I will stay with you for several hours ensuring you and your baby are both healthy and that your family is nourished.
Should a transport to the hospital be needed, I will accompany you and stay as a support person throughout your labor and birth.
I am trained, certified and licensed in emergency procedures and bring with me to your birth all equipment necessary for such. This includes: oxygen, resuscitation equipment, IV equipment, infant suctioning devices, anti-hemorrhagic medications and suturing equipment.
